Starting-point for the video work '360°' was the Viennese sightseeing
attraction, called the Donauturm.
rotation, time, repetition, geography, time
lapse.
The Donauturm was opened in 1964 and is 252 meters tall.
The building structure is made of steel and concrete and weighs
17,000 tons. The tower covers an area of approximately 84 square metres.
The tower offers an exciting panoramic view over the ancient and new
Vienna, the pre-alps and on over the Hungarian landscape. In only 35
seconds two lifts bring you up 165 m, directly to the two revolving restaurant
platforms at 160 and 170 m.
One
complete 360 ° rotation takes about 25 minutes.
